
King Salman Center for Disability Research won second place in the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services Innovation Award in the category of “Systems in the Transport Sector.” The award ceremony was held at the Fairmont Hotel in Riyadh to announce the winners across the different tracks and categories.
The Center participated with its initiative to remove barriers from public facilities and transportation by adopting modern design standards that enable persons with disabilities to move, work, and integrate with greater ease. This achievement crowns the Center’s efforts in providing scientific and practical initiatives that facilitate mobility for persons with disabilities and promote their inclusion in society through applied solutions based on research and comprehensive planning in collaboration with relevant entities.
It also reflects the Center’s pioneering vision and continued support under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of King Salman Nonprofit Foundation, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of King Salman Center for Disability Research. He continues to dedicate his efforts to empowering persons with disabilities and advancing their causes by launching innovative initiatives, leading scientific research programs, and driving institutional and legislative transformations that safeguard their rights and ensure their active participation in all aspects of life.
It is worth noting that the award aims to encourage creative practices and innovation in the transport and logistics sector, with a focus on sustainable solutions that align with the Kingdom’s digital transformation aspirations and improve the quality of life for citizens and residents.
