Mental health disorders are a major global public health issue; which led WHO to start the World Mental Health (WMH) Survey Initiative in collaboration with Harvard University. In 2010, Saudi Arabia launched the Saudi National Mental Health Survey (SNMHS), as part of the WMH Survey Initiative that has been conducted, so far, in over 33 countries.
